Kundan, Polki and Jadau: How Stone-Set Necklaces Are Priced

- Choose the design and agree the gold weight range and karat in writing.
- Ask whether paying an advance fixes (‘books’) today’s gold rate, or whether you will pay the rate on the delivery day.
- Custom bridal pieces usually take 2 to 6 weeks; order early in the wedding season.
- At delivery, check the weight on the shop’s scale against the invoice.
- Keep the invoice with karat, net gold weight, stones and making charge listed separately.
